Exceptional wines born from unique vineyards
FINCHER
WINES

Fincher & Co. celebrates the diversity of terroirs to deliver creations that truly reflect their place of origin.
Harvesting from some of the finest vineyard sites in New Zealand and vinifying them in a manner that respects the quality of the terroir, the wines are made with the independent consumer and restaurant tables in mind. A focussed wine style that appeals to true enthusiasts looking for an alternative, yet still recognisable, expression of Marlborough.

A reflection of single site viticulture in Marlborough and Central Otago, New Zealand
From the beginning, Fincher & Co has been built around the importance of finding exceptional vineyards that highlight the intrinsic qualities and diverse nature of Sauvignon Blanc & Pinot Noir.
Patience in the vineyard is echoed inside the cellar, resulting in wines that reflect place rather than pure fruit character.
Deliberately low residual sugar levels with both Sauvignon Blancs move them away from the norm; resulting in wines for the independent customer and the restaurant table.
FINCHER & CO. showcases the brilliance of New Zealand winemaking and ensures that the essence of place and people is reflected in the finished wine.

Vineyard Sites
Claim 431 Vineyard / The Show of Hands
The Claim 431 vineyard is planted with specially selected Pinot Noir clones, each with different ripening characteristics, which lends complexity and structure to the blend. Although a large single vineyard site, its diversity of terroir, combined with clonal selections creates extraordinary fruit, with notable dark plum and boysenberry characteristics.

Vineyard Sites
Little Oasis Vineyard / Awatere Valley
One of our most important vineyard sites sits in the heart of the Dashwood region.

Vineyard Sites
Alice Mills Vineyard/ The Dividing Line
Alice Mills Vineyard covers 30 hectares in the heart of the lower Rapaura/Grovetown subregion, showing a similar soil type to Dillons Point.

Reviews
"Dry, savoury and complex, it has appealing notes of gunflint and elderflower with subtle oak and a hint of passion fruit. Very smart.”
“Crushed violets and a floral edge with a wealth of brambly red cherries on offer, as well as a spicy, sappy thread on the nose. The palate has sleek, fresh blueberries and red cherries, cast in fine-grained, juicy and succulently sturdy tannins. Drink or hold.”
“This vinous collaboration seeks out truly amazing plots of vines and then captures them in limited edition bottlings.”
